Layout card builder

Build a layout card for Managed Info. Pick a template to start, drop in components, then copy the result into the Layout JSON spec field of your managed configuration. Learn more about layout cards.

How to apply this card to a device (MANAGED INFO 1.2.0.0 or later)

Layout cards are delivered through your EMM as a managed configuration string against the MANAGED INFO app. Devices need MANAGED INFO version 1.2.0.0 or later for the stack_layout_card_spec field to be honoured.

  1. Build your card in the editor above and click Copy in the JSON panel to grab the minified spec.
  2. In your EMM (Android Management API console, Intune, Workspace ONE, SOTI, Knox, etc.) open the managed configuration for the MANAGED INFO app.
  3. Find the stack_layout_card_spec string field. Paste the JSON in as a single line.
  4. Save and push the policy. On the next sync the device will replace its current card with the new layout. No app restart required.

Tips:

  • Keep the spec under 20,000 characters. The editor's counter goes amber from 10,000 and red above 20,000, where some EMMs start truncating string values.
  • Image URLs must be HTTPS and reachable from the device. Self-hosted images need to be on a host the device can resolve.
  • If a device doesn't pick up the change, confirm it's on 1.2.0.0 or later (Settings, Apps, MANAGED INFO, version) and force a managed config sync from your EMM.
  • To go back to the default card, push an empty string for stack_layout_card_spec.
